Tell you what, folks: I'm willing to call all of this a momentary blip if, and only if, you can get some kind of assurance from her that she'll stay away. I trust her just enough to be willing to take her word. If it's given, I'm willing to remove the ban; if the ban is lifted soon (call it 48 hours), I'm willing to remove the entry.

I don't want to hear about any of this except through whoever makes the deal. I'm currently in the kind of mood where an email from her would encourage me plonk her on the spot.

I hate this brewing fight. I also hate the idea of sacrificing any of my principles. Somebody do me a favor and keep me from having to choose.

Hardly. This would be completely independant thought on my part, something that people who speak to Julia do exhibit on occassion. (Believe it or not.) I just wanted to clarify that point and, at your request, I won't go any further.

/Sorry for the misinterpretation... And I'll be honest, I would very much like for you to negotiate with Julia so that Tim doesn't drag this out into a real war. Nik, well, for all I can tell he doesn't care...but just because we're not presenting a united front here doesn't mean that we're both wrong.

Anyway...read what Tim's written in the too-many places. Remember that he's willing to negotiate as long as it's not with her - and, given what he said in his resolutions I suspect he'd negotiate as long as he didn't violate the fundamental "he doesn't contact her" rule. For that matter, I'm willing to negotiate, alone if need be... just keep me and Nik out of the LJ filtering game for now. That's what I'm looking for/

If she bothers you that much, ignore her, period. If you can't bring yourself to do that, then cope. Either way, that's the end of it. The way this is dragging out it's become a manufactured drama.

Lest anyone get an idea I'm taking a side here, I'm not. I can't. I've never met Julia. So I can't say whether she's an angel, or Just Another Fucked-Up Chick, or somewhere in between. In the end, it doesn't matter. I don't know her, so whatever she may or may not have done wrong, I don't have the information or the personal standing to tell her squat.

Tim, on the other hand, I do know pretty well. And from whom I expect a lot better. In the past, he's faced people and circumstances which are petty, or difficult, or both, and acquitted himself well. This case should be no different. So him, I can tell to grow the fuck up and move the fuck on.
